By accessing or using MileGrade (www.milegrade.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Use of the site

MileGrade provides free calculators that estimate the cost of owning and driving a vehicle — fuel and charging costs, financing, and the cost of keeping a car versus replacing it. They are provided for informational purposes only, and no account or sign-up is required to use them.

Every result is arithmetic performed on figures you supply. The site does not know your fuel price, your electricity rate, your mileage, your credit terms, or your vehicle, and it does not look them up — it computes with what you enter, prints the formula it used, and states what the result does and does not cover. Where a tool relies on a published standard or rate, that source is named and linked on the page.

It follows that an output is only as good as the inputs and assumptions behind it. These calculators are not financial, tax, legal, insurance, or purchasing advice, and they are not a substitute for a licensed professional, a lender's written terms, a dealer's figures, or a mechanic's assessment. Published rates and standards change, vehicles vary from their ratings, and a figure that is right in general can be wrong for you. Verify anything you intend to rely on before making a purchase or financing decision.

The content on MileGrade is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the site is error-free, that outputs are accurate for every input, or that the site will be uninterrupted or available at all times. Your use of the site is at your own risk.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MileGrade and its operators disclaim all liability for any damages — direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential — arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site.

Intellectual property

The content, design, and code of MileGrade are owned by MileGrade and its operators, except where credited to an original source. You may use the site freely for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reproduce or republish MileGrade content without permission.
